A Plain Map of Chinese Metaphysics
BaZi, Zi Wei, and six schools of divination — what the Chinese metaphysical traditions on this site cover, and how we approach them.
中文 →
"Chinese metaphysics" is a loose name for a family of systems that read a person and a moment through pattern rather than through mechanism. On this site it shows up in two broad forms.
Destiny reading
BaZi (Four Pillars) and Zi Wei Dou Shu both start from your birth data. BaZi reads eight characters of stems and branches; Zi Wei plots twelve palaces and fourteen stars. Together they describe temperament and timing — a personal weather pattern, not a fixed script.
Divination
For a single question, six classical methods are available: Plum Blossom, King Wen coin oracle, Small Six Ren, Na Jia (Six Lines), Tarot, and character divination (Cèzì). Each is a different way to cast, then read, a moment.
Our approach
We treat all of this as personal interpretation built on a curated knowledge base — an original reading for one person, never a reprint of the classics. The point is reflection, not a verdict.
