Tarot Basics: 78 Cards as a Mirror
Tarot is a deck of 78 cards used for reflection and intuition. A plain introduction to what the cards are and how a reading works.
中文 →
A tarot deck has 78 cards. Twenty-two are the Major Arcana — archetypal figures like The Fool, The Tower, The Star. The other fifty-six are the Minor Arcana, split into four suits (cups, pentacles, swords, wands) much like a regular playing deck, but with face cards and numbered cards that each carry a theme.
What a reading is
You ask about one matter, draw a small set of cards, and read them as a mirror. The images prompt reflection: what in your situation feels like The Tower's sudden change, or like the quiet readiness of The Star? The value is the conversation the cards start, not a fixed answer from outside.
Upright and reversed
A card drawn upside down is usually read as a softer, internal, or blocked version of its upright meaning. It is a nuance, not a good-or-bad switch.
